    As salaamu ‘Alaikum Dearest Sisters,

Please kindly inform me how to get notes, if any, on the classes The Correct way to study Islamic Monotheism. I’m kind of new to WizIQ, I’ve participated in some classes but missed the above mentioned. Jazzakum Allahu Khairun for all your efforts, your provided notes on The Four Fundamental Principles have been an incredible help. It clarified a lot of areas I was a bit lost on. Also not sure if you have the answer to this, but the upcoming arabic classes starting Jan 15th, is that for beginners?? I have little if any knowledge of the arabic language and am interested in learning, Insha’Allah. Not sure if this is the course for that. Your help is much appreciated. May Allah Subhanu wa Ta’ala protect us all and grant us the strength to continue on the straight path, Ameen.

You can only view it on the WIZIQ – to print it you would have to download it from WIZIQ as a PDF. If you have touble downloading it from WIZIQ you may try clicking this thumbnail and downloading from there – the instruction for printing it as a booklet are in the book and that may be easier (on trees and ink) then printing each page individually – jazaakumullaahu khayran

I was wondering if this blog is 4 sisters only, or can the brothers benefit from it as well ?
Also, i would like to recommend you something : since the class on wiziq are not kept permanently, you may consider downloading the following plug-in for mozilla firefox : ” Flash Got ” .
It is free and will allow you to download the classes in a mp4 format, so you can have the lessons available permanently in shaa Allah !!
Keep up the good work, jazakAllahu khayran , wa salaamu ‘alaykum

I am working on converting the Arabic Classes of Ustaadh Fahad Al Tahiri to Mp4 Video format, so that they can be used for future references..
The Wiziq recordings cannot be forwarded or rewinded most of the time , which makes our browser crash.
The link provided above (flash got plugin) does not download the contents of the class..

You can save this public folder link

Which will have all the recordings of the classes.

Check the Class7 Video Streaming here

I can post each classes streaming link in here.

I ask Allah to keep us on straight path till the last day.

You can copy the Quran text from any of the Quran recitation sites (qurancomplex.org, tanzeel.net, quranexplorer etc…) and modify the text once you paste it into a word Doc. To get the Madinah mushaf text you have to download the fonts and software for it and that is a little bit more complicated. If you have further questions you can send to sarf4sisters@gmail.com. wa feekum Baarakallaah.

      Bismi Allaah,

Wa ‘alaykumus salaam warahamtu Allaahi wabarakaatuh ukhtee,

We would like to advise this on ourselves first.

Time Management is a big issue for most of us now a days, walLaahul musta’aan… Planning on doing things but we keep delaying or not even stick to it. May Allaah make it easy for us and you to seek the right Knowledge and Practice on it.. Aameen

      Some points:

      – Seeking Allaah’s Aid, we can’t do anything without His help…
      – Take a Study Partner if you can it keeps you firm and even help you with memorizing and understanding your material.
      – Make an Islamic study Schedule that fits into your current routine and choose the Right Timings so that you can be able to adhere too.
      – Keep a notebook to write down important points, clarifications and questions you have on the material.
      – Revision which is very Important adjust it to your Schedule.
      – After finishing each recording/live class read your notes a couple of times with understanding and keep Revising them.
      – Don’t make it too hard on yourself by doing too much, because it can make you give up easily. Or too little which can make you lazy and not take it seriously.
But take that what you can handle and if you see that by time you can even handle more built it up.
      – You can make questions from the material you have, it will be easier for memorizing and it can be also used to quiz yourself (and your study Partner)

And know that when Allaah grant you success in your Study that this success isn’t from you, but verily it is from Allaah it is His Blessing from Him to you, so Thank Him for that…

      Allaah knows best.

You can also listen to THIS recent lecture for some Scholarly advise related from our Ustaadh, May Allaah reward him.. Aameen

      Jazaakillaahu khayran Dear Nazida,

May Allaah increase us and you in knowledge and taqwaa, Ameen.

You may read about how to access past WIZIQ recordings, and links to the blog notes and screen shots by visiting this link: http://establishingtheprinciples.wordpress.com/new-course-establishing-the-principles/

Basically, when you go there, you will see a tab in the top menu bar titled: *NEW COURSE* ESTABLISHING THE PRINCIPLES
and when you put your curser on it a drop down menu will appear with links to each class of the course.
When you click on a specific class (say:”creed” for example), you will then be directed to the webpage that has links to view the WIZIQ recordings ( by clicking on “Class 1”, “Class 2” etc…) and next to that – a link to the blog notes / screen shots (by clicking the title of the class for example: Establishing the Principles: Creed – Book 1- Class 1 ). Inshaa’Allaah it will be clearer when you go to the link above. If you have any other questions or concerns, please send an email to: sarf4sisters@gmail.com and we can arrange to speak or do a step by step by way of Skype or WIZIQ In shaa’ Allaah..

      وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته

      وإياك أختي

فَعَلَتَا is an exception of four harakaat in a row, because of the following:

فَعَلَتَا is originally فَعَلَتْا (the taa has a sukoon, because it is تَاءُ التَّأنِيثِ السَّاكِنَة) – It turned from being silent to having a fathah due to التقاءُ السَّاكِنَين (the meeting of two sukoons in a row )

The first saakin letter is the taa and for it to be dropped it has to be one of hurooful ‘ilah being preceded by a harakah suiting it (having proof of it), and here it is not one of the letter of hurooful ‘illah, this means that it can not be dropped, so they gave it a harakah suiting the letter after it (which is the Alif) and that what suits the alif is the fathah… And this is considered an exception.

There are two cases where four harakaat don’t come in a row:

      1) In a single word
      2) In whatever is in the power of a single word

That what is in the power of a single word is: A verb + A word expressing the doer

And تَاءُ التَّأنِيثِ السَّاكِنَة does not express the doer it is not a dhameer in the first place, it is a sign of femininity

      والله تعالى أعلم

      وبالله التوفيق

can someone please explain to me the difference between de list of analizing 30 chapters… and kitaab at tariqiyah? as i did not follow the lessons live.

    where should i start?

    • zaiba binth hashim December 24, 2014 at 3:13 am Reply

Assalamualaikaum Wahamathullahi wabarakathuh ukti Umm Salama.

I dont know of what you mean by ‘the list of analizing 30 chapters’ habibthi… If you mean ‘Analyzing the verbs of the Holy Quraan’, then these classes were based on the tasreef of the verbs we came across in the Quraan begining from Surah Fathihah; here we also did the conjugations of the verbs that we came across. As for Kitaab At-Taariqeeyah, this is based on a complete grammatical study (whether it is Sarf or Nahw) on separate words of the verses in the Quran from Suraah Thaariq upto the end.

For Example (based on kithaab at-Taariqeeyah) -:
we took the phrase أعوذ بلله من الشيطان الرجيم. then the author took the word أعوذ and explained to us that it is a present verb, etc.

So basically if you wish to start then you can with the sarf classes (tasreeful i’zzi).. it would be easier or you can directly start off from kitaab At-Taariqeeyah as ustaad explains it right from the basics.

Wallahu A’lam, and the choice is yours.

I hope it was beneficial Inshallah.

      Wassalamu Alaikum,
      Umm Abdillah.

i have a question on the muda33af maybe someone can help me?
ustadh said that if the word is a 4 leter(meaning:thulathi mazid bi harf) and its with a shadda like: (qattala) then we dont call this muda33af becuz muda3af is only in a 3 leter word.

the teacher in one of the jami3iaat here in marocco said: the 4 leter word like qatta3a(قطّع) is muda3af on the scale of fa3lala (فعلل) IF the word is wieghted by all its letters.
excample: qaf on fa,ul kalima- first ta on ainul kalima- second ta on second laamul kalima(extra) and ain on first laamul kalima.

    ق on ف
    first ط on ع
second ط on second ل (last extra laam of فعلل)
ع on first ل of (فعلل)

is there any reference for this by the scholars? anyone knows? i need to know becuz there was a dispute about this by the students. nobody had any reference.
as the other students said that this is wrong becuz the extra ط is wiegted on a extra ع
    like: فععل

    • zaiba binth hashim December 24, 2014 at 3:50 am Reply

      Assalamualaiakaum Ukti fillah.

The verb قَطِّعَ (Qat-ta-a’) with a shaddah on the ط. is on the scale of فَعَّلَ (Fa-‘a-la) with a shaddah on the ع. and this chapter is baab thaf’eela of ath-thaathiyyu mazzedun feehi bi harfin waahid. (the three lettered with one added to it).

      how can I say this?
because the verb قَطَّعَ can also be written as قَطْطَعَ (the ق with a fat-hah, the first ط with a sukoon, the second ط with a fat-hah and the ع with a fat-hah) and due to the principle which states that ‘ if there were two identical letters in a row, the first is a saakinah and the second is a mutaharrik we merge it and give it the sign of the small ‘w’ (shaddah)’ we had to write it as قَطَّعَ.

now if we take this verb قَطَّعَ and write it in its other form we will have قَطْطَعَ.
we can now bring these four letters adjacent to the scale. so we will have.

قَ on the فَ (qaaf with a fat-hah on it so goes with the fa)
طْ on the عْ (first ta with a sukoon on it so goes with the first ayn)
طَ on the عَ (second ta with a fat-hah on it so goes with the second ayn)
عَ on the لَ (the ayn with a fat-hah so goes with the laam)

so we would hav قَطْطعَ is on the scale of فَعْعَلَ or قَطَّعَ is on the scale of فَعَّلَ.

so how can this word قَطَّعَ (Qat-ta-a’) be on the scale of فَعْلَل (fa-‘lala)? when what should be on the scale of فَعْلَلَ is قَطْعَعَ (Qat’a’a) if you may. try putting the word on the scale ukti you will get the right scale. a word such as قَطَّعَ is not on the scale of فَعْلَل.

Maybe your teacher meant it in a different way as in after he had unmerged the word (قَطَّعَ) he placed it on the scale of فَعْلَل. so of course it word sound like Qa-t-ta’a ala wazn fa’lala.
but when you apply the principle where you merge the letters in to have قَطَّعَ you wont be able to merge the scale فَعْلَل.

thats why we say that the word قَطَّعَ is on the scale of فَعَّلَ and not فَعْلَل. your teacher might have brought it this way to point out the method of unmerging too. ya’ni to show you that this word قَطَّعَ can also be written as قَطْطَعَ and to simplify it and make you understand he must have brought brought the scale فَعْلَل.

wallahu a’lam. you can save this question and ask ustaad too inshallah when the classes resume bi iznillah for a better understanding,

      wassalam alaykum.

    Assalamu alykum
I clicked on one of the sarf recordings it showed listen online and download recording option but it says first send message to teacher to ask his permission to listen or download recordings
    Isn’t it difficult ?
Can I get direct link where I simply click and can listen recording without sending any message

If you are accessing from dropbox links then it shouldn’t be a problem and you can view them without sending any message. New classes will be starting in a few days Inshaa’Allaah so if you would like to take part in them, please add Ustaadh Fahd as a contact in WIZIQ: https://www.wiziq.com/Fahd_At-Taahiriyy
