(Line by line format is taken from and presented for easy memorizing bi ithni Allaah)
(Part One of the Arabic Script can be accessed HERE )

Our teacher began by praising Allaah Ta’Aalaa and sending salaat and salaams on His Messenger, Our Prophet Muhammad – Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam, and upon his family and companions and all who follow then in righteousness to the Last Day –

The book is divided into two parts:   The Introduction and main body

  • The main body consists of four principles which clarify that what is happening today with regards to polytheism si the same as what was happening in the days /time of the Prophet –  Sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam
  • When you clarify this  then you know the real monotheism and the real polytheism  and you will distinguish very clearly between the true montheists and those who claim to be monotheists but who are in reality polytheists.

Tarbiyyah (Bringing up ) is of two kinds:

  1. Creating, providing and disposing the affairs (and this is the general type for believers and non believers)
  2. Guiding to Eemaan,  clearing all obstacles for the way to perfecting that eemaan

وَأَنْ يَجْعَلَكَ مِمَّنْ إِذَا أُعْطِيَ شَكَرَ
Wa-Ay-Yaja`alaka mim-man ithaa u`tiya shakara
And to make you from those who, when given, are thankful,

When you are given a ni`mah it is a gift from Allaah –  it is Allaah’s favor and grace upon you – Being grateful is in 3 ways: by heart by tongue and by limbs

  1. By the heart:  to believe that what you are experiencing and getting from this grace, gift, bounty, favor is from Allah Alone and no one else.

  2. By the tongue:  is to admit that and not to refer the ni`mah to other than the one giving it –  Allaah said in Surah Dhuha:  “And proclaim the grace of your Lord”

  3. By the actions: (this is very important as most of the people dont know this)  Actions are done by the limbs and body parts, which Allaah gave you and thanking  by the actions is by utilizing these body parts that Allaah gave you in ways that are pleasing to Allaah, such as:
    •  To thank Allaah for your eyesight –  lower your gaze, read Qur’aan and beneficial books
    • To thank Allaah for your hearing listen to the Qur’aan and beneficial duroos(lessons)
    • To thank Allaah for your speech, remember Allaah (keep tongue moist with His remembrance) recite Quraan, enjoin good forbid evil, dont talk about others
IMPORTANT POINT: Being Able to thank Allaah is also a grace from Allaah –  no matter how much we thank Allaah it is never enough.

وَإِذَا ابْتُلِيَ صَبَرَ
Wa-ithaab-tuliya sabara
When tested are patient,

Allaah tests us with calamities to see if we are true in our eemaan – as He said in 29/2-3 which means: “Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: “We believe,” and will not be tested. (2) And We indeed tested those who were before them. And Allâh will certainly make (it) known (the truth of) those who are true, and will certainly make (it) known (the falsehood of) those who are liars, (although Allâh knows all that before putting them to test).”
The more steadfast you are on the straight path, the more you will be tested as it came in the hadeeth of Ar-Rasool- Sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam,  that the ones who are tested the most are the prophets then those who are like and those who are like …
People are of four levels with regards to patience:
  1. The first is showing displeasure with the calamity that befalls a person-  Its ruling is impermissible.  It is either by the heart. tongue or actions.
    •  By the heart is by having something against Allaah by your heart, feeling Allaah has oppressed you with this calalmity –  but Allaah oppresses no one!  if He were to take us to account for every sin we did, we would have been dead along time ago .  He is Just and His Justice is perfect and supreme and He pardons much
    • Complaining and verbally expressing your dipleasure is being impatient by the tongue.
    • Showing displeasure by the actions is when one beats their face, tear their clothes, pull their hair, even committing suicide.
Showing displeasure with the will/decree of Allaah is Haraam
  1. The next level is toleration.  Its ruling is Waajib (obligatory).  This means stopping yourself from expressing displeasure –  you hold yourself back from being displeased (either by heart tongue or actions).   CLARIFICATION: Disliking what you are experiencing is not the same as hating Allaahs Will.  i.e. you do not like the pain you experience but you still accept and like the will of Allaah.

  2. The next level is Pleasure –  being pleased with the calamity becuase you know it is from Allaah andyou are pleased with knowing that this is Allaahs Decree

  3. The higest level is thanking Allaah for being tested –  you thank Him for putting you through a test.  You thank Him because:
    •  It is an expiation for your sins and lifts your ranks as  the saheeh  hadeeth states:  not even a worry or touble that befalls the Muslim, even the thorn that he steps on but it is an expiation for his sins.”  Put in your heart that this is a nimah from Allaah –  what a r=great nimah to have a chance to expiate the sins and not have to meet Allaah with it.
    • it is ameans of raising your ranks in Jannah.  the people of Jannah different in grades/levels.  there is aome thousand years between the grades
    • What you are experiencing is alot better than what other people are experiencing.  You may be ill but others are more ill-
    • You thank Allaah that it wasn’t a test in your religion –  you may be ill but you are not in an innovation
    • The endless amount of rewards you get for having  Sabr
This Patience has to be by 3 ways:
    1. It has to be for Allaah: meaning for His Sake (not being patient to get a worldly benefit or to show off)
    2. By Allaah: meaning by His aid –  you cannot be patient except by Allaah’s Leave – so you ask Him to aid you and help you
    3. With Allaah: means go accordingly with Allaah’s commands – not with desires, submitting to your whims and desires –  but submitting to Him
