بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

الحمد لله رب العالمين وصلى الله وسلم وبارك على نبينا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه أجمعين, أما بعد

أَخرَجَ                 يُـخرِجُ


أَدخَلَ               يُدخِلُ


أَبكَى                يُبكِي


أَقَامَ                  يُقِيمُ


أَضحَكَ           يُضحِكُ


أَمَاتَ               يُمِيتُ

  • أُمِيتُ : I make die  [2:258]
  • أَمَاتَهُ : He made him die – and it is on the scale of أَفعَلَهُ   – Allaah سبحانه وتعالى  said:

 فَأَمَاتَهُ اللَّـهُ مِائَةَ عَامٍ ثُمَّ بَعَثَهُ

So Allah caused him to die for a hundred years, then raised him up (again). [2:259]

أَحيَى              يُـحيِي

  • Allaah سبحانه وتعالى  said:

 كَيْفَ تَكْفُرُونَ بِاللَّـهِ وَكُنتُمْ أَمْوَاتًا فَأَحْيَاكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُحْيِيكُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ

How can you disbelieve in Allah? Seeing that you were dead and He gave you life. Then He will give you death, then again will bring you to life (on the Day of Resurrection) and then unto Him you will return. [2:28]

  • أَحيَاهُ : He made him/it alive
  • أَحيَاكُم : He made you all alive
  • أَحيَيتُ : I made alive – Here the yaa (laamul kalimah) was not changed/turned into an Alif even though the letter before it has a fathah the yaa is silent and not  mutharrik, because the taa of the doer got attached to the verb which made laamul kalimah silent
  • أَحيَينَا : We made alive – Allaah سبحانه وتعالى   said:

 وَاللَّـهُ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ الرِّيَاحَ فَتُثِيرُ سَحَابًا فَسُقْنَاهُ إِلَىٰ بَلَدٍ مَّيِّتٍ فَأَحْيَيْنَا بِهِ الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا

كَذَٰلِكَ النُّشُورُ

And it is Allah Who sends the winds, so that they raise up the clouds, and We drive them to a dead land, and revive therewith the earth after its death. As such (will be) the Resurrection! [35:9]

  • أَحيَينَاهُ : We made him/it alive– Allaah سبحانه وتعالى   said:

 أَوَمَن كَانَ مَيْتًا فَأَحْيَيْنَاهُ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُ نُورًا يَمْشِي بِهِ فِي النَّاسِ كَمَن مَّثَلُهُ فِي الظُّلُمَاتِ لَيْسَ

بِخَارِجٍ مِّنْهَا كَذَٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلْكَافِرِينَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ

Is he who was dead (without Faith by ignorance and disbelief) and We gave him life (by knowledge and Faith) and set for him a light (of Belief) whereby he can walk amongst men, like him who is in the darkness (of disbelief, polytheism and hypocrisy) from which he can never come out? Thus it is made fair-seeming to the disbelievers that which they used to do. [6:122]

  • أَحيَينَاهَا : We made her/it alive
  •   أَحيَاهَا : He made her/it alive – Allaah سبحانه وتعالى   said:

إِنَّ الَّذِي أَحْيَاهَا لَمُحْيِي الْمَوْتَىٰ

Verily, He Who gives it life, surely, (He) is Able to give life to the dead (on the Day of Resurrection). [41:39]

  • أَحيَاهُم : He made/brought hema live

 أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ خَرَجُوا مِن دِيَارِهِمْ وَهُمْ أُلُوفٌ حَذَرَ الْمَوْتِ فَقَالَ لَهُمُ اللَّـهُ مُوتُوا ثُمَّ أَحْيَاهُمْ

Did you (O Muhammad SAW) not think of those who went forth from their homes in thousands, fearing death? Allah said to them, “Die”. And then He restored them to life. [2:243]

  • أُحيِي : I make alive ,  – Allaah سبحانه وتعالى   said:

 أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِي حَاجَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فِي رَبِّهِ أَنْ آتَاهُ اللَّـهُ الْمُلْكَ إِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ رَبِّيَ الَّذِي يُحْيِي

وَيُمِيتُ قَالَ أَنَا أُحْيِي وَأُمِيتُ

Have you not looked at him who disputed with Ibrahim (Abraham) about his Lord (Allah), because Allah had given him the kingdom? When Ibrahim (Abraham) said (to him): “My Lord (Allah) is He Who gives life and causes death.” He said, “I give life and cause death.”… [2:258]

  • يُـحيِي : He makes alive
  • يُـحيِيهِ : He makes him/it alive – Here the ha gets a kasrah to suit the yaa
  • يُـحيِيهَا : He makes her /it alive


أَحَلَّ                يُـحِلُّ

  • أَحَلَّ : He made permissible  – Allaah سبحانه وتعالى   said:  وَأَحَلَّ اللهُ البَيعَ وَ حَرَّمَ الرِّبَا


أَغنَى               يُغنِي


  • The letter of the Mudaari’ gets a dhammah because it is a four letter verb
  • How is it a three letter verb while there are only three letters beside the Mudaari’? This because the hamzah of ‘af’ala’ is dropped in the Mudaari’


أَحَلَّ اللهُ البَيعَ وَ حَرَّمَ الرِّبَا

Q: Where is the Faa’il? Allaah

Q: Why? It is a Noun which comes after a verb and it is in a state which implies a dhammah

The action is expressed by a verb, in this case أَحَلَّ (he made permissible), and the Doer of that action is الله

Where did that action fall upon? البَيع The trade

And this is called:  مَفعُولٌ بِه

Linguistic meaning: Done to/with

Technical meaning:  Is a noun in a state implying a fathah which is an effect to the action (on which the action has befallen)

Q: Is the linguistic meaning of مَفعُولٌ بِه  similar/identical/equal to the technical meaning? No

البَيعَ is the مَفعُول بِه

  • The two forms which include the meaning of ‘making’ is  أَفعَلَ and  فَعَّلَ
  • حَرَّمَ is on the scale of  فَعَّلَ
  • حَرَّمَ : He made impermissible
  • الرِّبا : Usury

حَرَّمَ الرِّبا

Q: Where is the faa’il of حَرَّمَ ?  Hidden

Q: What is the hidden? هُو

Q: Goes back to who?    الله

الرِّبا is the  مفعُول به  of  حَرَّمَ
