The second Meaning of  بَابُ الإِفعَال

الصَّيرُورَة          The becoming’

Expressing that the word the verb is taken from became in the possession of the doer

تَمر  : Dates

لَبَن :  Milk

ثَمَر :  Fruit

وَرَق :  Leaves

عُشب : Grass

  • On the scale of  فُعْل

جَرْو  : Puppy

صَرْم : Ripe fruits

  • that are ready to be cut and picked

جَرَب : Skin disease

بَقْل : Herbs

To put it on the scale of  أفعَلَ  with the meaning of الصَّيرُورَة  , you look at the faa, ‘ayn and laam of the word and place it on this scale, that way you will express that it became in the possession of the doer.

أَتمَرَ

  • Why did we say أَجرَتْ and not أَجرَوَتْ ? Because in أَجرَوَتْ , we turned the waaw into an Alif because it is mutaharrik proceeded by a fathah أَجرَاتْ   then we dropped the alif because of iltiqaa-us saakinayn أَجرَتْ

أَصرَمَ

  • أَصرَمَ النَّخلُ : The palm tree has ripe fruits (ready to be picked)

أَجرَبَ
